Honored to Be Recognized as an Influential Woman

I’m incredibly honored to be recognized as an Influential Woman and featured for the work I’m doing through Wish Wear Accessories. What makes this recognition especially meaningful is that it represents something much bigger than me. It represents a community of families, children, and advocates working to build a more inclusive world.

My journey into adaptive design began after my son Maddox was diagnosed with CTNNB1 Syndrome, a rare genetic condition. Like many rare disease parents, I quickly realized the world wasn’t built with kids like ours in mind. Instead of accepting that reality, I decided to help change it.

Wish Wear Accessories was born in my sewing room while trying to solve everyday challenges for Maddox and other children in the rare disease community. I wanted to create products that were not only functional, but also fun, allowing kids with disabilities to express their individuality through vibrant colors, playful prints, and thoughtful designs.

What began as a few custom creations has grown into a community-driven brand shaped by real families and real-world needs. Every product is inspired by conversations with parents, caregivers, and kids who deserve products designed with them in mind.

This recognition as an Influential Woman is a reminder that innovation often begins with empathy and lived experience. When families share their challenges, it creates opportunities to design better solutions.

I’m grateful to the rare disease community, to the families who trust me with their ideas and stories, and to the advocates working every day to improve the lives of people with disabilities.

Most importantly, I’m grateful to my son Maddox, the inspiration behind it all.

Because every child deserves to feel included, capable, and uniquely themselves.
